Welcome to my website! Although I may not write a new blog post every day, I do hope you'll come back to visit every once in a while! There's a handy-dandy contact form page if you want to get a hold of me, details on some interesting code projects I've worked on, and a page about my soon-coming adventures as a short-term missionary via Adventist Frontier Missions.
In case you don't know who I am or would like to learn more about me, I'm a rather tall guy at 6'5", love to play trombone and sing bass, enjoy reading children's books myself and to others, and getting to know people by asking them interesting questions such as "What's your favorite fruit?" or "Socks with stripes or without?" Growing up, I went to K-12 school at a private, Seventh-day Adventist school in Centerville, OH. After academy, I went to Southern Adventist University, where I studied computer science and earned my BS and MS in 2015. Since then, I've worked in the School of Computing at Southern Adventist University, where I help to run a small student internship program that does real-world projects with students behind the proverbial wheel.
Recently, I've become more passionate about missions and helping others to hear about how awesome God is and who Jesus is and what all that means in the first place. I've not been able to do formal evangelism training through programs such as SALT at Southern Adventist University, but I'm excited to be going as a short-term missionary to Cambodia this fall! I'll be moving on from my post with Southern Adventist University, and I'll be going to an Adventist primary school in Cambodia to be their computer teacher and web developer. After that's done? I don't know, but I'm certain that God will make it an adventure of one kind or another!
